Rick Ogilvie

I enjoy writing. Not stories, but practical ideas, thoughts, beliefs. Through trial and error, they are torn to pieces, reconfigured, shattered again, ever-evolving. I love wisdom, but that will never be found in contemplation alone. I validate and cut into my beliefs, forging them in the flames of active living.

I tend to be an outspoken individual, and I do my best to act from within, to be myself everyday of my life; which, I might add, is not so much about trying my best as it is simply doing.

Concerning hubpages, I've 'published' a number of essays at this point in time, with some being what I'd regard as well-written and heartfelt, and others being... in need of additions and changes, to say the least. Some aren't as comrpehensive as I'd like, but they're there to be read because I have a tendency to go back and re-read things, adding, taking away, altering, and revising existing pieces.

If you're interested, I wrote a bit about my attitude and outlook on the act of writing in My Writing. A few of the ones I personally like best so far are The Relevance of Emotion, Evolution or Degredation, No Regrets, and Mundane Magick. Whether you agree, disagree, or are flat out offended at any time now or in the future by what I may write, feel free to leave a comment, so long as it's intelligent and worth my time to bother with; after all, I write for myself, not you.
